Tim Jones abandoned a career in journalism in Anchorage to operate boats in Alaska's Prince William Sound professionally and for pleasure, where he has lived now for almost 20 years. He is well known for his nonfiction (The Last Great Race, Wild Critters, and Dog Heroes are some of his titles) and currently lives in Valdez.
